Undergraduate chemistry can either be studied as a single subject or in combination with a number of other science or arts subjects. All courses cover the fundamentals of chemical science but some offer more flexibility with a choice of additional modules. Topics, taught in lectures and practical laboratory sessions, are likely to include analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistries as well as biochemistry, physics and mathematics. You will need good maths and science results. Chemistry is useful in a wide range of industries or you may prefer to continue with postgraduate study.
