Undergraduate design courses include general options as well as specialised programmes in areas such as interiors, jewellery, textiles and graphic design. As an undergraduate you will spend time in the design studio as well as studying aspects of history and theory; current developments in technology and computing also feature on most courses. There are courses that combine design topics with business areas, as well as some that look at aspects of branding design. Alongside lecture and practical classes you will undertake project work and sometimes industrial placement.
