An undergraduate course in English will give you a thorough grounding in areas of language and literature. These courses are not designed for learning English as a foreign language. Undergraduate courses vary in their emphasis on English language or literature, but most cover elements of both. Literature modules look at different periods and movements and their cultural and historical relevance; language modules address areas of linguistics study. You will develop analytical, critical and communication skills making you highly employable.
