Undergraduate environmental science courses are taught in conjunction with a range of other subjects which determines their focus. Scientific concentrations include environmental biology and chemistry, or there are geography and geology centred courses and specialist programmes such as marine ecology and environmental management. Undergraduate courses are taught through a combination of lectures and practical work. Many programmes focus on the latter with frequent laboratory and field work. Career options are vast or you may prefer to continue with postgraduate study in a specialist area.
