An undergraduate course in nursing will give you the knowledge and skills required to become a qualified health professional. Depending on national regulations you may need to take further examinations for professional accreditation. Some undergraduate nursing courses require you to select a specialism before starting, whilst others allow you to specialise later. Options include adult, child, learning disability or mental health nursing and midwifery. If you do not have the required entry qualifications for particular institutions there are foundation courses available.
