Sociology is a wide subject area covering all aspects of human social behaviour. Consequently there are many courses on offer at undergraduate level. You will attend lectures and classes, and undertake independent study and project work, in order to build theoretical knowledge and observation skills. Modules are likely to include areas of sociological theory, ethics, cultural studies, and politics, and many institutions offer combined degrees with a range of other subjects. Due to its diverse nature there are many career options including government, research, support services or education.
