Although the small size of the university and town may put some people off, Aberystwyth is infact full of lots of activity from a great social scene both day and night. Although there are a lack of mainstream clothing stores like H&M don't let that put you off the university if you are a self confessed shopoholic, there are still plenty of shops like New look and Dorothy Perkins, and in reality the lack of shops is good as it stops the temptation of impulse buying, furthermore as a student you will find that in reality you have very little time to go shopping! The sports facilities are modern and up to date, the library is well stoked(Aber is also home to the national library of wales, very useful when doing assignments!) Plenty of societies to join from Aber Snow to cheerleading to Aber MUN. Staff are friendly and helpful, easy transition in first year from A-levels. If you are considering Aber definitely come to an open day to get a feel of the town, you wont be disappointed! show less
