Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh (QMU) was founded in 1875 as The Edinburgh School of Cookery and Domestic Economy, primarily to provide education and skills to working class women. The university relocated to a new, purpose-built and green campus in 2007 situated in Musselburgh, five miles outside Edinburgh city centre in Scotland. QMU is divided into two schools: The School of Arts, Social Sciences and Management and the School of Health Sciences. Over 5000 students from around 80 countries are enrolled in courses at QMU. Professionally, QMU’s graduates are found in roles where they can influence policy and shape culture and society. QMU was ranked in the top 20 in the UK for five subject areas by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.
