Bluegrass Community and Technical College was formed in 2005 following the consolidation of Central Kentucky Technical College and Lexington Community College. The College is a public, two-year degree granting institution in Kentucky with seven campuses: Cooper, Leestown, and Regency campuses in Lexington, Danville, Lawrenceburg, Winchester, and Georgetown. The College offers over 42 technical programs in addition to pre-baccalaureate programs in nursing, business management and marketing, information management and design among others. The College had over 11,000 students in fall 2008.
