Central Connecticut State University is a public university that was founded in 1849 as the New Britain Normal School. It is located in New Britain, Connecticut and enrolls nearly 7,000 full-time and more than 5,000 part-time students. The university offers 100 majors in more than 80 fields of study. It awards masters degrees, educational doctorate degrees, as well as certificate non-degree programs of study.
