Chatham University, a private institution, was chartered on December 11, 1869, under the name Pennsylvania Female College. The university is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is home to almost 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students.The University consists of 3 distinct Colleges: Chatham College for Women, offering baccalaureate degrees to women only; College for Graduate Studies, offering masters and doctoral degrees and teacher certification to both women and men; and College for Continuing and Professional Studies, offering undergraduate, graduate, professional and continuing education online to both women and men.
