Delgado Community College is a public institute in New Orleans. The College was opened in 1921 and offers short term training programs, certifications, associate degrees and continuing education. Areas of study include health care, nursing, technology, business, science and math, communication, liberal arts, and technical training. In spring 2008, Delgado Community College had 13,260 degree-seeking students. From its original location on City Park Avenue, in New Orleans, the College has expanded to numerous sites, including the West Bank Campus, the Northshore, Slidell, and the Charity School of Nursing.
