Elizabeth City State University was founded in 1891, and is located at Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The university offers baccalaureate programs in the arts and sciences, professional and pre-professional areas, as well as masters degrees in selected disciplines. All the departments offering various study programs are spanned across the different schools of the university, namely, School of Arts and Humanities, School of Business & Economics, School of Education and Psychology, School of Mathematics, Science and Technology and the Department of Military Science.
