Founded in 1867 as the Howard School for the education of African Americans, Fayetteville State University serves a student body of over 6,300 and is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The university offers undergraduate programs, masters degree programs and one doctoral program in educational leadership. These programs vary in areas of the arts and sciences, business and economics and education. College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, School of Business and Economics and Extended Learning and Summer School are the schools and colleges of the university offering the different study programs.
