About Felician

Felician University - educating a new generation of leaders…

For more than 70 years, Felician University has provided a high-quality, affordable, values-based education to international students from all across the globe.

Study Experience

Felician’s dedicated faculty, small class size, and driven students make classrooms come alive. A multitude of liberal arts, business, education and nursing academic programs challenge students and prepare them to thrive in an ever-changing global society.

Location

Only 20 kilometers to New York City, Felician’s close proximity to the city enables its faculty to integrate the attributes of the cultural capital into its curriculum – commerce, finance, art, technology and entertainment.

Recent Developments

Students will see exciting new endeavors happening everywhere on campus – with plans for a new athletic center and with the opening of our Ed Commons building.  Ed Commons is a state-of-the-art building housing classrooms, labs, a high-tech eLibrary and a premier nursing resource and simulation center.

Felician is committed to continually enhancing its resources to make the University even more effective in meeting the needs of future generations.

Residential Life

Felician offers a safe living and learning environment for its students on its Rutherford Campus. More details in the Residential Life section…

Career Support

Felician assists students as they prepare for the professional phase of their lives with assistance with job searches, resume writing and interview techniques.

  • Optional Practical Training (OPT) - Every F-1 student who completes an undergraduate or graduate program is entitled to participate in Optional Practical Training (OPT).  This training is paid off-campus employment directly related to the student’s area of study, and it is permitted for 12 to 29 months (longer for students in the STEM fields who are eligible for a STEM extension) after their program end date. Students can apply for post-completion OPT as early as 90 days before they complete their degree, which is highly recommended, as it can take up to three months for their OPT to be approved.

Felician’s first priority is its students and the second is their future…
