Fisk University is a historically black university in Nashville, Tennessee. The university's first classes were held on January 9, 1866.The university offers bachelors, masters and several pre-professional programs besides MBA and Teacher certification programs. The different majors offered by the university are grouped under the departments of Humanities and Fine Arts, Business Administration, Core Curriculum, Academic Programs, Graduate Programs, Natural Science and Mathematics and Social Sciences.
