Founded in 1964, Florida Atlantic University was the first public university in southeast Florida and the first in America designed for upper division students only. The University has over 27,000 students on its seven campuses and sites. Students can choose from more than 170 bachelors, masters, specialists and doctoral degree programs. Its seven campuses in Florida are at Boca Raton, Davie, Dania beach, Fort Lauderdale, Jupiter, Treasure Coast and the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute.
