Founded during the period 1853-1855, the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary is a graduate school of theology; it is located a few miles north of Chicago on the Evanston campus of Northwestern University. The Seminary offers graduate-level degree programs that fall into two categories: those that prepare students for ministry (masters in Arts and in Divinity and a doctorate in Ministry) and those that prepare students for teaching and research in churches and colleges (masters in Theological Studies and doctorate in Philosophy).
