The university was founded in 1889 as Georgia Normal & Industrial College. The Georgia College is a public liberal arts college located at Milledgeville, Georgia.West Campus is home to the intercollegiate, intramural fields and student apartments. Several undergraduate degrees and graduate programs are available in the four schools—the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the J. Whitney Bunting School of Business, the John H. Lounsbury School of Education and the School of Health Sciences.
