Georgia Institute of Technology was founded in 1885 and is located in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a public university and comprises of various satellite campuses in Savannah; Athlone, Ireland; Metz, France; Singapore; and Shanghai, China. There are more than 19,000 students enrolled in different graduate and undergraduate programs. The institute offers various academic programs via its six colleges: the Colleges of Architecture, Engineering, Sciences, Computing, Management, and the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.
