The Graduate School And University Center Of The City University Of New York is located at the heart of New York City. Founded in 1961, the Graduate Center is the doctorate-granting institution of the CUNY.Around 4,000 students pursue doctoral and master's programs in the humanities, social sciences and sciences. The Graduate Center offers 34 doctoral programs, 30 of them leading to the PhD. Some of the doctoral programs are offered in music, audiology, nursing science, physical therapy and public health.
