Grand Valley State University, a four-year public university, was founded in 1960 and is located in Allendale, West Michigan. It offers over 70 undergraduate majors and around 26 graduate programs. The university currently enrolls more than 23,000 students. The academic programs of the university are housed in its eight colleges: Kirkhof College of Nursing, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Padnos College of Engineering and Computing, The Seidman College of Business, College of Education, College of Health Professions, College of University and the College of Community and Public Services.
