Kent State University was founded in the year 1910 as a publicly owned institution. It has an eight campus system, the campuses located in Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Tuscarawas – all in Northeast Ohio. Kent State Ashtabula campus was opened in the year 1958 and offers several certificates, associate degrees, bachelor degrees and one masters degree program. These are offered through 12 departments like accounting, business management, mathematics, English department and occupational therapist assisting technology to name a few.
