Kent State University was founded in 1910 as a publicly owned institution. It has an eight campus system, the campuses located in Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Tuscarawas – all in Northeast Ohio. Kent State Salem campus was founded in the year 1971 and serves nearly 1200 students. The College offers certificate, bachelors and associate degree programs in a range of areas like child and family advocacy, human services technology, nursing, business management technology, early childhood education technology and more.
