Founded in 1926, the Brooklyn Campus is the original unit of Long Island University and the only one located in New York City. Currently around 11,000 students are enrolled at the university. It awards undergraduate, graduate and certificate degrees. Doctoral degrees are also offered in the fields of clinical psychology and pharmaceutics. All the academic programs are offered via the different schools/colleges of the university namely, Liberal Arts and Sciences; Business, Public Administration and Information Sciences; Education; Nursing; Health Professions; and Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
