Marquette University was founded in the tradition of the Society of Jesus, a Catholic religious order established in 1540 by St. Ignatius Loyola. Only in 1881 it was started as a small liberal arts school for men named after Father Jacques Marquette. The university is located at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There are currently around 11,500 students enrolled in the various programs of the university. Some of the programs offered at the university are Graduate studies, Graduate business, Law, Dentistry and Professional studies. Marquette's residence halls provide accommodation to the students.
