Matanuska-Susitna College is an extended college of the University of Alaska Anchorage. The University of Alaska dates back to July 4, 1915. Matanuska-Susitna College serves nearly 1,650 students per semester from its location in Palmer, Alaska. It offers associate of arts, applied science degree programs, certificates and occupational endorsement certificates in various general education areas. Programs are offered in the areas of Fire Service Administration, Human Services, Refrigeration & Heating Technology, Small Business Administration, Telecommunications, and Electronics & Computer Technology.
