Founded in 1913 by the congregation of Second Baptist Church of Chicago, the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary operates out of the Rockford campus and Lawndale campus. The degree programs offered by the Seminary are: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Christian Ministries; Doctor of Ministry degrees offered with emphases in: Preaching, Transformational Leadership, Worship and Spirituality. Non-degree programs, such as, Certificate of Christian Studies, Diploma in Divinity and Diploma in Theology are also offered.
