Ouachita Baptist University, located on the banks of the Ouachita River in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, is functioning since its inception on September 6, 1886. Ouachita is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and offers undergraduate programs in liberal arts. Ouachita, which has 1,448 students, is affiliated with the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.
