Since its founding in 1866, Pacific School of Religion located at Berkeley, California, has served as a multi-denominational Christian seminary. In addition to traditional seminary subjects like bible, church history, theology, ethics, pastoral care, and worship leadership, the school also offers subjects as diverse as art and religion, sexuality and world religions. The school offers three masters degrees, five certificates of study, and a professional doctoral degree in ministry. The flexible curriculum allows students to supplement course offerings with other courses offered at other Graduate Theological Union member seminaries.
