Salem International University, founded in 1888, is a private, for-profit institution of higher learning that is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association and the West Virginia State Board of Education. The University is located in Salem, West Virginia. It offers the bachelors degree in athletic training, biosciences, business administration, communication studies, criminal justice, education, liberal arts and sciences, and sport and fitness administration. The University also awards a masters degree in curriculum and instruction and a post-masters certificate in educational leadership and administration.
