Southwest Texas State Normal School opened its doors to students in 1903, and in 2003 changed its name to Texas State University-San Marcos. The university has a current enrollment of 29,105 students and is located in San Marcos, Texas. The university offers bachelors, masters and doctoral degree programs from nine colleges: Applied Arts, Business Administration, Education, Fine Arts and Communication, Health Professions, Liberal Arts, Science, University College and the Graduate College.
