The University Of California - Hastings College of The Law was founded in 1878 by Serranus Clinton Hastings (the first Chief Justice of California). The college is a public, full-time law school in downtown San Francisco. Currently 1,276 students are enrolled at the college. It offers the Juris Doctor program (a three-year, full-time education in the law) and a one-year LL.M. degree in United States Legal Studies. The college also offers an Academic Support Program, which complements the law school curriculum, to all its students.
