Chartered in 1925, the University of Miami is a private institution with its main campus in the City of Coral Gables. The University also has campuses in Downtown Miami, Virginia Key, Little Havana and southwest Miami-Dade county. The University offers undergraduate programs in architecture, womens studies, broadcast journalism, theatre arts and business law to name a few. The University of Miami Graduate School offers graduate programs in architecture, arts & sciences, business administration, communication, and marine & atmospheric science among others. The University has more than 15,300 undergraduate and graduate students on campus.
