The University of New England was founded in 1831 as a private institution. It is located in Biddeford, Maine and serves over 4,300 students. The University has a College of Arts & Sciences through which it offers more than 30 graduate, undergraduate and post graduate majors in liberal arts education in areas such as environmental science, marine science, English, history, business, communication and education. In addition, the university also has the College of Osteopathic Medicine, the College of Health Professions and the College of Pharmacy.
