“When I first got my offer at the College, I think it was peak pandemic in 2020. It was obvious that I had to do my entire program online. One of my proudest achievements at the college is that I was honoured as the program Dux, which means that I was the student that had the highest grade in that semester. One of the things that I really like is the TAP sessions, which stands for a Tutor Assistance Program. So basically we have a one-on-one session with the teacher and in that session you can ask any question study- or assignment-related. For those who are hesitant about joining the college and doing a sort of a pathway program, I would say if you are coming from a similar situation as I do, which is a different education background, go for it. Because I do think that the College offers a variety of support and knowledge that will help you in the university.”
Adelaide is a place where I would recommend most of the international students to come because it’s not a hype city, it’s a very calm city and it lets you settle in very slowly. The beaches are beautiful. The people are so nice. The staff is very nice and I love everyone. I was actually very scared of the culture difference. My first language is not English. So, what if my English was not as good as the Australians? What if I’m left out? What if I don’t get along with the class? I was very scared about all of this. But then I realised that all the people out here were very welcoming, you know? And they were like, it’s okay to be afraid. If I make a mistake in English they don’t laugh, they just point out that this is not the right thing to do, do this. The College has something called the Social Club. Social Club is like a family away from my family. Everyone is fun.
