International Excellence Scholarship

Student requirements

Applicants for an International scholarship must meet the following eligibility criteria: Must be classed as Overseas for fees purposes and be self-funded (not sponsored). Applicants who are unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information they have provided in their application form to assess fee status against regulations set by the UK government. For information on these regulations please visit the independent organisation UKCISA’s website. Must have an offer to study on a full time postgraduate taught programme (including placement routes) starting in September 2019 or January 2020. Must complete the relevant Scholarship application by the stated deadline. All applicants must meet all conditions of their offer by the time they are due to register at Brunel.

September entry: Phase 1: Apply by 30th April 2019 to be considered for an early award. Phase 2: Apply by 31st July 2019 to be considered for a later award. Applicants who are not awarded in the first phase will be automatically considered again for phase 2. January entry: Phase 1: Apply by 9th December 2019 to be considered for an award.

Sports Scholarships

Student requirements

Anyone can apply for an award as long as they have met the academic requirements for a course and subsequently been given a conditional or unconditional place at Brunel University London. As main criteria, all applicants must be able to demonstrate sporting achievement at junior international level or equivalent in one of the priority sports listed below and/or evidence a top 10 age ranking within their choosen sport.

The first deadline for applications is the 31 July to ensure accommodation places are met if you have opted for athlete friendly accommodation. The second deadline will be 31 August , but will not guarantee athlete friendly accommodation.

MBA Scholarship

The Full time MBA Scholarship is a £6,500 tuition fee waiver for one year only.The Part Time MBA Scholarship value depends on your employment sector. Those from the Corporate/Private sector will be awarded a £9,000 tuition fee waiver for a maximum of two years only, split equally across both academic years (£4,500 per year). Applicants from the Public/Government sector are awarded a £11,000 tuition fee waiver for a maximum of two years only, split equally across both academic years (£5,500 per year).

NSIRC Scholarships in Structural Integrity

Level of study

Student requirements

Candidates should have a relevant degree at 2.1 minimum, or an equivalent overseas degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics or Civil/Structural Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy or Physics. Candidates with suitable work experience and strong capacity in numerical modelling and experimental skills are particularly welcome to apply. Overseas applicants should also submit IELTS results (minimum 6.5) if applicable.

Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarships

Student requirements

The Scholarship will be awarded to all full time, part time and distance learning students who meet all the following criteria: 2.1 Have an unconditional offer to study a taught Master’s programme at Brunel University London, this includes the MBA and Mres programmes. 2.2 Have achieved a First Class honours degree from a UK University or an EU University. a) For a UK degree: the award must be from a UK University, the student does not have to have attended a UK based campus. b) An honours degree awarded with distinction is acceptable where no first class classification exists. c) Holding a higher degree, without having achieved a First Class classification at undergraduate level does not qualify for receipt of this award. d) For an EU equivalent the award must be from a recognised EU institution and be the equivalent of a of a first class honours degree, as listed in appendix 1.
