Canadore College offers more than 80 certificate, graduate certificate, and diploma programs in a range of subject areas, from business, management, and technology to healthcare, media, and sport and recreation. There is also experiential learning at the college that provides students with hands-on experience in real and simulated environments, either at the college, or within a field-related workplace.
Canadore’s International Department and Student Services provide strong support services to guide students every step of the way, within and outside of the classroom. Canadore College is continuing its longstanding commitment to sustainability, with a mission to achieve carbon neutrality by 2031. Proudly integrating the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals in all its work and activities, the ‘Sustainable Canadore’ taskforce has been pioneering its efforts in sustainability and positive environmental practices since its inception.
In 2024, the College Drive campus will become the first campus in the country to boast an area of forest certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, with its surrounding 450 acres of trees now subject to a carefully and ecologically designed 10-year forest management plan.
In 2023, select students had the opportunity to receive a micro-credential in cultural awareness, travelling to Costa Rica and its world-famous Nicoya Blue Zone, connecting with local indigenous communities and learning about sustainability in rainforest productivity.
In 2024, the college will purchase 12 acres of land in Los Santos as part of a partnership with Green Communities Costa Rica. This organization hosts international volunteers, engaging them in local sustainable development projects, with a notable specialization in the successful conversion of traditional coffee beans to organic produce.
Canadore College has partnered with Beyond21 Academy, a non-profit organization that works with carefully selected North American partners to deliver up-to-date practical sustainability training to students and professionals.
In partnership with Beyond21 Academy, the college now offers a unique new course. Sustainable Innovation: Integrating Circular Economy and Biomimicry into Climate Action is open to students, alumni, and even staff.

Canadore College offers a range of bursaries and scholarships to international students to help them pay for their college education. The college awards around 1.7 million CAD in bursaries and scholarships every academic year.
Subject specific scholarships and bursaries are offered across subject areas including aviation, business management, culinary arts, health, human care and wellness, media, design and dramatic arts, and trades and technology. There are also a range of bursaries and scholarships available to students enrolled on any program at the college, in addition to a range of external awards provided by organisations outside of the college. Students applying to courses at Canadore College are required to meet the college’s admission requirements. Successful graduation from senior secondary level (high school) is a pre-requisite for all courses at Canadore, while a diploma or degree is generally required for graduate certificate programs at the college.
Moreover, there are English language proficiency requirements for international students looking to undertake any programs at the college. Canadore favours the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) as its primary method of English language proficiency testing. Most diploma programs at the college require a minimum overall IELTS score of 5.5, while aviation programs require an overall score of 6.0. Graduate certificate programs, meanwhile, require international students to hold a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0, while health care programs require a score of 6.5, with no single band less than 6.0.
