As an interior design intern at Ray Inc., Savaliya expressed her gratitude for the industry recognition, considering it a pivotal moment in her career. She attended the 40th Annual ARIDO Awards Gala, where she networked with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into Ontario's design industry. This isn't Savaliya's first accolade from ARIDO this year; she also received the 2023 CTI Working Environments Scholarship for her commitment to community service and volunteerism. These achievements highlight the excellence of our Bachelor of Interior Design program graduates.
Jax Guillen, a Bachelor of Creative Arts student from Philippines, has made waves with her short film "Ivory Tulle," selected for the prestigious CineFAM Annual Film Festival. The festival, running from Dec. 8-10 at Toronto’s TIFF Bell Lightbox, highlights original narratives by Canadian women and non-binary creators of color.
Featuring an all-Filipino cast, "Ivory Tulle" follows Teresa, a bride-to-be navigating familial pressures surrounding her estranged father's invitation to her wedding. Nominated for Best Picture at the 2023 TFS Festival of Films, this nine-minute film marks Guillen’s inaugural contribution to amplifying Filipino representation in cinema.

Yorkville University works hard to create funding opportunities for its students, and offers a limited number of scholarships and bursaries each year to eligible students, allowing them to reduce their tuition and fee costs – most international students will be awarded a CASD 10,000 bursary upon successful admission.

All new Bachelor of Business Administration students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents can apply for a 35 percent tuition bursary courses completed on campus in Vancouver and Toronto.
Anyone currently serving in the Canadian Forces or has served more than two years is eligible for a 25 percent tuition bursary.
The Indigenous Student Tuition Bursary covers 25 percent of tuition fees and will be available to all new and current Canadian citizens or permanent residents with Indigenous ancestry.
Yorkville University offers a 30 percent tuition rebate to NBCC graduates, staff and faculty.
The Jacob Markovitz Memorial Scholarship is a need-based scholarship that is available to new students entering their first trimester of study in the Master of Education, or the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. The equivalent of one scholarship will be awarded in each master’s program in each academic trimester and will be equivalent to one year of full tuition.
In honor of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), international students showing proof of US or Mexican citizenship will pay the domestic tuition rate for Yorkville University programs, instead of the international rate.
Students from Less Economically Developed communities are eligible for a CAD 10,000 bursary towards tuition fees.

Applications are submitted online and are received on a rolling basis throughout the year. There is a CAD 150 fee to make an application, and undergraduate students will need to submit the following information.
