CSI International Academic Excellence Award

Study level

Career based/Vocational,Undergraduate,Postgraduate

Eligibility requirements

Recipients must have a minimum grade average of 75 percent and demonstrate financial need. Recipients must also be actively involved and volunteer with the International Education Department.

The applicant must:

  • be an international student paying full-time international student tuition fees and CSI fees
  • be registered in a diploma or degree program
  • be registered at Conestoga for the Winter semester
  • be one of ten students with the highest grade point average above 85 percent. In case of a tie preference will go to students with college involvement

CSI International Student Service Award

Eligibility requirements

This award will be given to one or two current international students. Recipients must have a minimum grade average of 75 per cent and demonstrate financial need. Recipients must also be actively involved and volunteer with the International Education Department.

The applicant must:

  • be an international student paying full-time international student tuition fees and CSI fees
  • have college involvement within the International Education Department
  • submit one reference supporting involvement or volunteer work within the International Education Department
  • be registered at Conestoga for the Winter semester
  • have a minimum academic average of 75 percent or 3.5 GPA

Applicants who have received a CSI International Student Service Award (ISSA) in any year may be considered for an award in a subsequent year, provided they are able to demonstrate meaningful involvement or volunteer contributions separate and distinct from those which earned their previous award.

Science and Technology Research Assistantships

Eligibility requirements

Students must have completed at least one year of their program and are continuing full time studies in a subsequent year of study in their degree. Students must also satisfy criteria for the Jobs on Campus program. Through this initiative, students will work with either an Industrial Research Chair or a Director of a Centre for Excellence and Innovation at Conestoga College. Funds will be distributed throughout the year.

Two awards of CAN $2,500 are available to international students at Conestoga College who have demonstrated leadership in one or more of the following areas: community service, international engagement, intercultural understanding, and promotion of diversity, intellectual pursuits, and artistic or athletic endeavors.

The applicant must:

  • be an international student paying full-time international student tuition fees and CSI fees
  • have a minimum academic average of 75 percent or 3.5 GPA
  • complete the online General Award Application through the Student Portal.
