If you are interested in the health industry and need the foundations to start a new career, then enrol into 52831WA Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing studies. This course will provide you with a sound knowledge on the human body and health, as well as the study skills to support further learning.

During your studies you will interpret and apply medical terminology, learn about human anatomy and physiology, gain knowledge on the fundamental principles of microbiology used in health settings and how to use mathematics in a nursing and health context.

When you successfully complete this course, you will have the academic entry requirements for further study in the health area including HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing or any health related degrees at university level.

Entry requirements

For international students

Equivalent to Australian Year 11

Students must have an IELTS score of 6.5 with no bands lower than 6.5 for entry into 52831WA Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies.

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - Minimum Level 43; Password score of 5.5; Eiken Grade Pre 1; Successful completion of at least 2 years of study at an acceptable grade in an English medium course completed within the previous 2 years OR GCE O Levels English with 'C'; 'A' or 'B' in Malaysian SPM English or 'C' in 1119 English; Kenyan KCSE English 'C'; International Baccalaureate (IB) Minimum of 3 in English A1 or A2; Completion of the Cambridge First Certificate of English (FCE); Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Upper Intermediate Level or equivalent at North Metropolitan TAFE or a recognized English college.
