Start your degree in Business
The Associate Degree of Business and Commerce is the perfect way to start your degree in business at university. An Associate Degree is a qualification in its own right, but it is also a pathway to a Bachelor degree. This means that the 16 courses that you study can count towards a Bachelor degree.
Essential business knowledge
You will complete eight core courses and then choose from an array of business and commerce courses which interest you. Course options include Advertising, Business Law, Human Resource Management, e-Commerce, Finance, and Politics and International Relations.
It is best to have a chat to our Student Relationship Officers before finalizing your decision on courses. If you are considering continuing onto a Bachelor degree, your choice of courses may have an impact later.
Career outcomes
As a graduate you will have general business knowledge suitable for a career in the public or private sector, and dependent on the courses you studied, career opportunities in the disciplines of human resources, marketing, administration, information technology, logistics management, inventory management, tourism, small business management, international business and commerce.
Further study
After completing the Associate Degree of Business and Commerce, you can potentially go on to study a Bachelor of Business and Commerce.

English language requirements
IELTS (Academic only) - 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) - 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) - 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) - 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) - 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English Scale Scores for FCE, CAE and CPE3 - Cambridge English: First (FCE) with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
