What will I learn?

Explore your passion for Social Justice, and deepen your knowledge of fairness, equality, and human rights through an Honours program. Enhance your career prospects for a role in government and non-government agencies, or the private sector. You can choose to conduct research on a specific social issue either at a local, national or international level. You will be given the opportunity to further strengthen your research, analytical, writing and reporting skills. Draw on your interdisciplinary training to integrate ideas, theories and frameworks from the social sciences to contribute capably to the development of social justice plans and programs in various contexts.Graduates will further their research, analytical, and reporting skills to prepare them for international humanitarian careers with organisations such as Oxfam International or UNICEF. Additional roles include social justice specialist or consultant with government agencies or non-government organisations (NGOs), public administration, city planning, mental health administration, think tank research, or a career as a public defender, policy advocate or lobbyist.

Entry requirements

For international students

Completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Arts or a related discipline, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0.

Students from different country must have qualifications equivalent to Australia.

English language requirements

IELTS (Academic only) - Overall minimum score of 6.0 and no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL (internet based) - Overall minimum score of 80 and no individual skills score of less than 19; Pearson (PTE Academic) - Overall score of 50 and no individual Communicative Skills score of less than 50; Cambridge C1 Advanced C2 Proficiency - Overall minimum score of 169 with no less than 162 in each skill.
