What will I learn?

This course is designed to help you become a highly adaptive business professional with the expertise for careers in diverse sectors. Importantly, the course emphasises the GRIT mindset (Global, Responsible, Innovation, Technology), provides transformational learning experiences, and incorporates sustainability content that aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. You’ll gain broad career opportunities and wide-ranging skills in marketing, finance, project management, human resources and strategic management. With a mix of practical business skills and high-level strategy and leadership skills, you’ll graduate knowing how to improve an existing business or succeed in your own ventures.You’ll begin by studying a suite of core units. You’ll explore value-creation in business, learn how to use financial information to make responsible decisions, and develop business intelligence and data analysis skills.You’ll also complete core units in management, gaining the foundations of key business areas such as finance, marketing,and project management. You’ll learn the key activities, tools and strategies of each area, and gain insights into technological advancements and influencing trends. In your first year, our expert staff will help you structure your degree to suit your career goals. You’ll choose two business specialisations that align with your interests. You’ll then choose either a third specialisation from selected areas in business, arts, design or science or four elective units. In your final year you'll undertake a capstone experience to gain valuable industry experience. This unit 'caps off' your study, enabling you to put your skills and knowledge into practice and smoothing your transition from study to the workplace. With a diverse skillset that employers value and the ability to pivot to industry needs, you can confidently pursue a career as a highly adaptable, in-demand business professional. Modern marketing involves the analysis of market trends and the innovative use of a range of platforms to engage with prospective customers.This specialisation will introduce you to the core concepts of marketing, including how consumers think and how marketers need to adapt their strategy to appeal to different markets. You’ll learn the skills needed to develop, organise and implement marketing activities in a highly competitive and volatile environment. Through engagement with industry professionals, you’ll learn how to expand a customer base and set an organisation on the path to growth and success.

Entry requirements

For international students

To apply for entry into this course, you must have met:

  • the course ATAR (Australian Tertiary Academic Rank) or equivalent recognised overseas qualification
  • ATAR - 70
  • Completion of Australian Year 12 (VCE, HSC, QCE, WACE, SACE, TCE, NTCE, ACT) with a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 70; and a scaled mark of at least 50 in English, Literature, or English as an Additional Language or Dialect.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma - 24
