What will I learn?

This course will provide you with a strong foundation of the principles and conceptual frameworks of marketing, as used in both academia and the workplace, within a business context which focuses on economic strategies, financial outcomes and entrepreneurship. Youll explore a variety of cognitive, technical and communication skills to analyse, review and explore marketing problems, providing innovative solutions for a range of real-world public, private and not-for-profit enterprises.Youll study how consumers behave in different settings, and will develop innovative marketing plans for domestic and international frameworks. Youll also learn how to conduct marketing research and will explore the genre of digital marketing, while gaining skills in negotiation and sales management. This highly practical course centres on using innovative and challenging real-world scenarios for assignment and project work, and youll graduate as a confident and experienced marketeer ready for employment across a range of business sectors.

For international students studying an Australian Year 12 qualification, your selection rank is your ATAR plus any adjustment factors you may be eligible for.

If youre an international student who has not completed an Australian Year 12, we also recognise a range of other international qualifications for direct entry. These include the NCEA Level 3, the International Baccalaureate (IB) and GCE A Levels, plus other country-specific qualifications.

English language requirements

Academic IELTS of 6.0 or equivalent, with no band score below 6.0; TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 60 with: R: 13; L: 12; S: 18; W: 21; Pearson Test of Academic English: 50 with no skill score below 50; Cambridge English Scale: 169 with no sub-score below 169: Occupational English Test: No grade lower than 'C' in any of the sub-tests.
