With the Biology major in the Bachelor of Science, you will gain a broad knowledge in biology, chemistry and communications, as well as the option of more detailed knowledge in disciplines such as biochemistry, genetics, microbiology and physiology. This degree will give you a strong grounding for a range of science-related careers or for more specialised postgraduate study.

As a graduate your career opportunities include; research officer (universities, defence, CSIRO, DPI, industry, government, and health), technical officer (labs), agricultural scientist, technical/sales representative in pharmaceutical, medical and biotechnological industries, molecular biologists, microbiologists. After further study you would be able to become a biotechnologist, dietician, research scientist, secondary science teacher, or medical specialist. Employment opportunities also exist in laboratory work in agricultural, food, health, medical, veterinary, educational and industrial settings, plant breeding, science journalism.

No less than 162 in each skill.
