What will I learn?

The BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course provides entry level skills and knowledge to those wishing to develop their proficiency and knowledge in supervision and management.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in managerial and supervisory roles in a range of industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others, apply solutions to predictable and unpredictable problems, analyze and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

By undertaking this course, you will learn a variety of skills and content, including but not limited to:

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Increase your productivity by learning how to effectively prioritize your schedule

Implement a customer service framework for your team to ensure customer excellence

Engage effectively with your team and other key stakeholders

Lead your team effectively and establish a positive team culture that will increase productivity

Potential career pathways for graduates of this qualification include roles such as a Team Leader. Previous graduates of this program have gone on to roles ranging from clerical and administrative positions through to professional and management roles across a wide variety of industries including Financial and Insurance Services, Health Care and Social Assistance and Retail Trade.

Entry requirements

For international students

IHNA has in place admission criteria for courses in its scope as required by its ‘Application and Enrolment Procedure for VET Courses’ to ensure that candidates meet industry requirements.

18 years of age and above

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination (Academic) with a minimum total band score of 5.5 and minimum score of 5.0 in each of the four components of listening, reading, writing and speaking or meets equivalent English language proficiency requirements.

Basic computer skills

Provide a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

While IHNA will work with you to make “reasonable adjustments” in the campus lab and classroom, there are workplace practice conditions that occur in the workplace environment that are beyond IHNA’s control. Physical requirements like Strength, Mobility, Hearing, Vision and Communication are necessary to function in the healthcare facility and / or community setting. Students must be able to perform and complete course objectives and requirements with or without reasonable adjustments. Our courses cater to a range of candidates. The candidates are required to be physically fit to manage tasks.
