Course overview
The Certificate III Networking program is for anyone seeking to commence a career in IT network and server installation and configuration. The program teaches personal computer servicing, and essential network and server support skills. Students should learn how to build and maintain computer hardware, servers, and networks. Available online or face-to-face for students in the Brisbane and Gold Coast region.
The program allows graduates to attain internationally recognised credentials by providing the training for these within the curriculum. The industry certifications taught are A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows 8 Client and Server 2012, and Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA). The training prepares students to take the respective certification exams.
The training is delivered via instructor led classroom training and online eLearning. Students will access a number of high quality online learning environments including video and interactive audio-visual environments. Students will be awarded the qualification on successful completion of all the assessment activities in the course.
A number of subjects included in this program cover the training requirements for industry certification programs. Successful completion of such a subject does not on its own entitle a student to the related certification. External certification exams must be passed in order to obtain the respective certification. Fees will be charged by the certifying authorities. Information about how to obtain these certifications will be provided by the course instructors. While students are encouraged to obtain the related certifications, these are not required to successfully complete the program and be granted the associated academic awards.
