Summary

Building and Construction is one of the largest industries world-wide with billions of dollar invested in infrastructure and housing every year. If this is your area of interest, then the Diploma of Building and Construction – Building is the best course for you to study. During this course, you will study a range of subjects relating to the skills needed to manage construction works, manage project quality and project risks, how to prepare and evaluate tender documentation, how to identify, produce and monitor costing systems and how to apply the principles of occupational health and safety for worksites.

It introduces you to the legal, structural, financial and managerial processes involved in the construction process and will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to be able to undertake construction works relating to low rise and medium-rise building projects. Entry requirement for international students

IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0; TOEFL 55 (iBT); Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - Minimum Level 43; Password score of 5.5; Eiken Grade Pre 1; Successful completion of at least 2 years of study at an acceptable grade in an English medium course completed within the previous 2 years OR GCE O Levels English with 'C'; 'A' or 'B' in Malaysian SPM English or 'C' in 1119 English; Kenyan KCSE English 'C'; International Baccalaureate (IB) Minimum of 3 in English A1 or A2; Completion of the Cambridge First Certificate of English (FCE); Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Upper Intermediate Level or equivalent at North Metropolitan TAFE or a recognized English college.
