What will I learn?

Our Degree Transfer Engineering provides a pathway into one of Australia’s best Engineering Schools. The University of Newcastle is a Group of Eight affiliative member for Engineering and is ranked top 100 in the world for both Civil and Structural Engineering. Automation and Control Engineering is also ranked 11th in the world. Each engineering bachelor is an Honours degree meaning that the total study period is 4 years including the degree transfer.

Degree Transfer Engineering is the exact same curriculum as Year 1 of the Bachelor and pathways into eight engineering degree options which are;

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Completion of Yr 11 with pass grades. Completion of Year 11 with GPA 2.0. English Entry: IELTS Requirement 5.5 overall (all bands 5.0 or above) or equivalent; iBT TOEFL 50 overall (15 or above in Speaking and Writing); PTE Academic 46.

For international students

Students must have a Satisfactory completion of an Australian Higher School Certificate or equivalent / ATAR of 50 or higher.

English Language Scores: IELTS Requirement - 5.5 overall (Speaking and Writing band 5.5 or above with no band below 5.0) or equivalent; iBT TOEFL - 50 overall (16 or above in Speaking and Writing); PTE Academic - 48.
